"Week financial and economic situation in some of the countries of the region hinders solution of the problems of oncology. Besides, there is a misconception of the goals set before the oncology service. Therefore, many of the CIS member states are essentially behind the level of Kazakhstan. I believe, Kazakhstan is one of the progressive countries in these terms," Mikhail Davydov said.
The Head of the Association believes that implementation of programs of cancer screening will increase the efficiency of treatment of cancer patients essentially.
"State support of such programs can change the whole oncology service of the country. Favorable conditions are created for it - material and technical base is developed, new technologies are introduced, new education institutions are built," he added.
