ASTANA. April 27. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakhstan is the most important strategic and trade partner of Turkey in Asia. Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mehmet Ali Şahin said it during the meeting with Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Ural Mukhamedzhanov.

'The Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries was established on the initiative of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. We are glad that Mr. Nazarbayev won the recent presidential elections. Kazakhstan has been independent for 20 years, it is not a long term. However, it has been enough time for Kazakhstan to reach its high goals and significant development,' he noted.

As Mehmet Ali Şahin emphasized, the President of Kazakhstan was the main contributor to the achievements of Kazakhstan over the course of these years.

'Kazakhstan is one of the leading countries amongst the Turkic-speaking countries. Our states are very similar in terms of history. I hope that the relations between our countries and their Leaders will continue to develop,' Mehmet Ali Şahin added.
