Kazakhstan needs to build another oil refinery - President

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President Nursultan Nazarbayev announced that Kazakhstan needs to construct a new oil refinery - fourth, to be exact.
The Head of State made the announcement at the nationwide teleconference held at the Palace of Independence in Astana on Thursday. "Perhaps, we need to build another oil refinery to have our own oil products and sell them," President Nazarbayev voiced his opinion during the teleconference. Nursultan Nazarbayev also stressed it is necessary to construct a number of large oil and gas enterprises worth over $6-8 billion to produce everything - from pharmaceuticals to apparel. According to the President, Kazakhstan also needs a new copper plant to export its products worldwide.
