Kazakhstan names new ambassador to Egypt

Askar Zhenis is appointed as an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.

Born in 1974 is a graduate of the Al Farabi Kazakh National University.

He started his career in 1997 at the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

He also took various positions at the Kazakhoil, Kazakhtelecom, Kaztransgas companies and the Presidential Administration’s foreign policy center. In 2008-2012 held the post of the general consul of Kazakhstan in Istanbul, in 2012-2014 in Dubai, 2024-2020 served as the Kazakh Ambassador to Qatar.

He holds the diplomatic rank of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, II degree.

Besides, the Head of State decreed to appoint Daulet Batrashev as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Croatia and to relieve him of his duties as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Portugal.

Zhan Galiyev is appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Portugal.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Jordan Talgat Shaldanbai is appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iraq and the State of Palestine concurrently.

Kairat Lama Sharif is relieved of his duties as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tunisia concurrently.

Akylbek Kamaldinov is relieved of his duties as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Croatia.

As written before, the Kazakhstani ambassador presented credentials to the President of Algeria last December.
