Kazakhstan, Montenegro committed to enhancing cooperation in tourism
Prospects for expanding cooperation in tourism, tourist flow increase, and strengthening business ties between Kazakhstan and Montenegro - these are the issues that were on agenda of a meeting betwen Consul General of Kazakhstan in Podgorica Gabiden Temirbek and Minister of Tourism of Montenegro Simonida Kordić, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Kazakh MFA.

At the meeting, held on Feb 11, Consul General Temirbek spoke on the importance of a visa-free regime for further enhancing tourism and business relations between the two countries. He expressed hope that the seasonal visa-free regime, which Montenegro introduces annually for Kazakh citizens, will be extended in 2025.

In turn, Minister Kordić expressed a keen interest in expanding tourism cooperation with Kazakhstan and increasing bilateral tourist flows. She underscored the importance of developing air connections, optimizing visa procedures, and diversifying the tourism industry. Additionally, she stated that the issue of the seasonal visa-free regime is currently under review by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro in cooperation with the relevant authorities of the European Union.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their joint efforts to strengthen cooperation in tourism, effectively utilize the tourism potential, and develop long-term partnerships between Kazakhstan and Montenegro.
Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan rises in the list of foreign tourism destinations for Chinese nationals.
