Kazakhstan may declare 2013 'Year of Youth'

ASTANA. October 24. KAZINFORM At today's visiting session of the Council on Youth Policy under the President of Kazakhstan residents of the eastern region of Kazakhstan proposed to declare 2013 the Year of Youth, official representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Assel Kapalova told a briefing.
"The youth of East Kazakhstan region put forward the initiative to declare the next year as the Year of Youth. Following the session the Council also adopted recommendations on the establishment of resource centers for young people, development of indicators of youth policy for the central and regional levels," said A. Kapalova.
It was also proposed to establish the fund for development of youth initiatives and cooperation.
