Kazakhstan lets Kyrgyzstan assume TRACECA IGC presidency

BISHKEK. June 17. KAZINFORM /Vladimir Dobrovolskiy/ Seventh session of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission was held yesterday in Cholpon-Ata, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Kazakh Vice Minister of Transport and Communications Azat Bekturov on behalf of Chairman of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission devolved the power on Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Nurlan Sulaimanov, who assured that his country will continue the work on development of international transport corridor ?Europe-Caucasus-Asia?.
Representative of the European Commission, Director of ?DG TREN? Company Jonathan Scheele said that the TRACECA corridor is one of the main interlinks in the international transportation, providing transport operations between Europe and Asia.
