Kazakhstan leads CIS in Networked Readiness Index

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - According to a report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the Networked Readiness Index (NRI), Kazakhstan ranks 38th among 148 countries in the world, according to the Agency for Communications and Information.
Thus, Kazakhstan took the highest position among the CIS taking position between Cyprus (37th place) and Latvia (39th place). Russia ranks number 50. WEF 2014 topped Finland, Singapore has retained second position, and Sweden took the third position. Networked Readiness Index measures the capacity of countries to leverage ICT for growth and well-being. The NRI uses data collected from international organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the World Bank, and the United Nations as well as a survey of more than 15,000 business leaders.
