Kazakhstan launches Eurasian Music Awards

Awards ceremony for Kazakhstan's top singers of 2012 will be held in February 2013. The organizers believe the next year's list of nominees will also include singers from CIS and non-CIS countries. Particular emphasis is on fair and impartial judgement, the newspaper Vremya (Time) said.

The judges will choose the best male and female singer, best men and women's band and best live-band, best debut, best song, best national folk project and best video. In each category there are six applicants. Also, the soundtracks for domestic films will compete for the prize.

Kazakhstanis can support their favorite performers by voting in social networks. Musicians who win the love of Internet users and SMS voters will receive the Audience Award.
