Kazakhstan launched 349 mums-to-be health protection schools

TANA. September 8. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ "Kazakhstan's healthcare system always prioritized and keeps on prioritizing maternal and child health," Kazakh Health Minister Salidat Kairbekova told today at the opening sitting of the international medical forum Hospital of the Future.
"In order to raise quality of medical services rendered to women and children we started setting up regional educational centers for health professionals on efficient international perinatal technologies and programs recommended by the World Health Organization," she added.
"Besides, all the state measures let significantly reduce maternal and child mortality in Kazakhstan. Common disease early prevention centers, 201 health centers, 60 antismoking centers, 22 youth health centers, 134 hypertension, diabetes and asthma prophylaxis schools, 349 mums-to-be health protection schools are opened the countrywide. We intend to further the work in this direction," the Minister added.
