Kazakhstan, Korea to activate coop in healthcare

The opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sphere including the opportunities for treatment of Kazakhstani patients in the Center, holding of master classes, training of specialists were discussed at the meeting, the Ministry informed.

Besides, Hyung-tae Kim told about the activities of Yeson Voice Center and informed about 17 surgeries on voice restoration of Kazakhstani patients that he conducted in the National Research Center of Emergency Care of Kazakhstan. The surgeries became possible due to financing of that master class by the Ministry of Healthcare.

S.Kairbekova, in her turn, emphasized that the Kazakh-Korean cooperation in the healthcare sphere is quite intensive. The Ministry jointly with SUN medical center works on studying and introduction of modern systems of spinal fixation, endoprosthesis, introduction of innovative technologies of maxillofacial surgery in the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics of Kazakhstan. The two centers signed an agreement on holding of master classes of Korean specialists and training of Kazakhstani dental surgeons in Korea, primeminister.kz site reported.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to activate cooperation within the Joint Action Plan in the healthcare sphere of the two countries for 2012-2015.
