Kazakhstan - key participant of Global E-Government Forum in Seoul
This year the forum is co-located with the 7th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV). Both events are being held in Seoul under the aegis of the United Nations.
More than 1 000 participants - governmental officials, businessmen and representatives of international organizations from 40 countries of the world gathered in the capital of South Korea to discuss the role of e-Government and new trends dictated by the new information era.
Reps of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs represent Kazakhstan at the event. The Kazakh side is expected to hold a session on the national information policy. Utmost attention will be paid to the State Program "Information Kazakhstan 2020".
A memorandum between Kazakhstan and South Korea is to be discussed within the forum. The memo envisages exchange of experience in the sphere of e-Government and cooperation in the preparations for the next forum.
The next Global E-Government Forum will take place in Astana in 2014.
