Kazakhstan keen to play big role in world market, Ambassador

ABU DHABI. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Embassy in the United Arab Emirates hosted on Sunday a diplomatic reception on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.

High-ranking officials of the UAE federal state agencies, members of the foreign diplomatic corps, international organizations, local business circles and Kazakhstani citizens living there attended the event.

Addressing those gathered Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kairat Lama Sharif noted that Kazakhstan is aiming to contribute to efficient settlement of global food security issues.

"Kazakhstan has a unique agricultural potential and applies every effort to fully supply the country's needs and to play a big role in the world market. Thanks to the new railway running en route Kazakhstan -Turkmenistan-Iran the country's wheat exports may increase fivefold," he added.

Besides, the ambassador briefed on the prospects for the development of Kazakhstan-Emirati relations in the light of prestigious international exhibitions EXPO 2017 in Astana and EXPO 22 in Dubai.
