The interest is aroused by the fact that a number of Kazakhstani officers have graduated from the General Staff of the Military Academy of Belarus and gave high assessment to the Belarusian education.

On 21 June Leonid Maltsev took part in a solemn graduation ceremony at the Border Guard Service Institute of Belarus.

"All the graduates are determined to fulfill tasks. All of them understand that self-determination in adopting decisions is a must at the state border. It should rely on profound knowledge and allegiance," the Chairman of the State Border Service said. He stressed that the recent events in Ukraine show that there is no place for formalism and indulgence in what concerns the guarding of the borders, BelTA reports.

Leonid Maltsev added that the Border Guard Service Institute allows for satisfying the needs in the military personnel by more than 90%. In his words, annually the border agency sends its specialists for training to Russia. It pertains to special qualifications which training is inappropriate in Belarus.
