ASTANA. April 6. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan is a vivid example of a rich in mineral resources country becoming prosperous under wise leadership.
Chairman of the technical committee of the Forum, President of the International Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining Jan Lewis said it during the second mining and exploration professional event MINEX Central Asia 2011 which is held in Astana.
"Kazakhstan has adopted new environment protection laws and the best strategic researches are used in the country," J. Lewis said.
As earlier reported, about 400 specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Australia, the USA, Japan, Canada and other countries take part in the event.
The participants of the Forum will discuss such issues as subsoil use and taxation. Besides, they will also hold comparative analysis of the situation in the countries of Central Asia.
