Particular attention was paid to trade, economic, transport and logistics cooperation, as well as to the importance of maintaining regular dialogue at all levels.

The parties also addressed topical issues on the regional and international agenda, including the situation in the Middle East.

As Qazinform News Agency reported earlier, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with China’s top diplomat Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday, as tensions in the Gulf and concerns over the Strait of Hormuz continue to dominate regional diplomacy ahead of planned talks between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping next week.
