Kazakhstan introduces individual card of child development - Health Ministry

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Taking into account the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the UN Children's Fund the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan developed a "personalized card of child development", which will be given to parents of newborns in maternity hospitals, the press office of the Health Ministry said.

Individual card of child development from 0 to 5 years is a guide for the normal development of the child, which contains the advice of doctors, and allows parents to keep a diary of the growth and development of the newborn. The purpose of this manual is to teach family members to consider and store data on the growth, development and health of the child.

The card will be kept in the family and filled by parents in accordance with the recommendations. The card is recommended as an aid to monitor the health, growth and development of the child, and for early detection of abnormalities in the development and timely correction.

To raise awareness among parents and caregivers on the healthy development of children the Ministry together with the UNICEF also developed the manual called "Kuan sabi" with recommendations for child care, which in 2013 were distributed to mothers at the birth of the baby.
