Kazakhstan, Indonesia strengthen economic ties

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Serzhan Abdykarimov held a meeting with Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia Edi Pambudi, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh MFA.
The parties discussed the preparation and holding of the 2nd meeting of the Kazakh-Indonesian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, including further actions to identify specific projects in the trade, economic, and investment spheres.
The mining industry, industry, food, agricultural, and medical sectors were highlighted as the promising areas.
An agreement was reached to intensify work on draft agreements on mutual protection and promotion of investments and on avoidance of double taxation.
