Kazakhstan impresses world community with its democratic reforms - Greek Parliament Speaker
K. Tokayev briefed his counterpart on the socio-economic development and institutional reforms in Kazakhstan.
Mr. Sioufas expressed absolute support of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE. He noted the affinity of views of the two states regarding the issues on global energy security.
K. Tokayev emphasized the necessity of all-round development of interparliamentary cooperation. He noted that Kazakhstan would use the experience of Greece during its chairmanship in the OSCE. According to him, Kazakhstan pays much attention to the issues of trade-economic cooperation with Greece. Last year the volume of bilateral trade turnover amounted to USD 500 million. "We have big potential for extending mutually beneficial partnership in this sphere", the Kazakhstan's Speaker said.
K. Tokayev invited D. Sioufas to visit Kazakhstan. The Greek Parliament Speaker noted that it would be a great honor for him to visit our country, which "impresses the world community with the democratic reforms it is holding".
