Kazakhstan has ratified all basic UN conventions in human rights: Senate Speaker

ASTANA. November 14. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan has been elected to the UN Human Rights Council. This is a reflection and recognition of its international prestige and country's merits in the sphere of human rights' protection," the official blog of the Kazakh Senate Speaker Kairat Mami reads.
"Kazakhstan provides gender equality, freedom of belief, and support to socially vulnerable layers of the society.
Our country has ratified the basic UN conventions in the field of human rights. This work is of consistent character. For instance, yesterday the Head of State signed the law ratifying the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
The Parliament of the country will continue to provide legal assistance to the state policy in the sphere of human rights protection and strengthening of the institutes of civil society," the blog reads.
