"Kazakhstan has carried out comprehensive legal reforms making a very important step to improve the structures for the formation of law. The political will to change is clearly felt here in Astana," said G. Herz. The event has been organized by the European Union, represented by France and Germany, under the chairmanship of the Italian Republic and the Kazakh Ministry of Justice. The conference was attended by representatives of 13 delegations of the Ministries of Justice of the EU and Central Asia, reps of international and non-governmental organizations, the Kazakh government agencies and organizations, academia, business, Kazakhstan's MPs, the diplomatic corps of the EU member states in Kazakhstan. The round table discussed the most pressing issues in the field of constitutional law, criminal law, justice, development and independence of the judiciary.
