ASTANA. May 27. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Bakhitbek Shabarbayev met with Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dipu Moni on May 25 in Dhaka, Kazakh MFA's press service told Kazinform.
The Kazakh diplomat extended Mrs. Dipu Moni an invitation to the 38th session of the OIC Foreign Ministers' Council that is planned for June 28-30 in Astana. He told about the Kazakhstan's priorities for the coming chairmanship of the Council.
The Foreign Minister confirmed her participation in the session and intention to support the initiatives of Kazakhstan, as OIC Chair.
The sides discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation, particularly the opening of Bangladeshi embassy in Kazakhstan. According to Dipu Moni, Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship last year and the OIC chairmanship in 2011 gives our country a unique opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between the Muslim world and the West.
