Kazakhstan harvested 14 mln hectares of crops

ASTANA. October 7. KAZINFORM - As of October 7 of this year, agricultural producers harvested more than 14 million hectares of crops accounting for 89.3% of all areas under crops across the country, the web-site of the Prime Minister informs.
"According to the regional departments of agriculture, as of 7 October 2013 agricultural producers harvested 14,063,700 ha, or 89.3% of the area under crops," the Ministry said.
18 million tons of grain has already been harvested. The average crop yield is 13 centners per hectare. In 2012, the average crop yield was 8.4 centners per hectare.
