Kazakhstan finishes atop 36th European Kyokushin Karate Championship in Yerevan
Team Kazakhstan came out on the top of the medal standings of the 36th KWF European Kyokushin Championship among youth, juniors and adults in the “kumite” and “kata,” held in Yerevan, Armenia from October 26 to 27, 2024, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

The tournament brought together over 300 athletes from 12 countries, including Armenia, Bulgaria, Czechia, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Türkiye, Ukraine.
Team Kazakhstan was represented by 70 athletes from cities Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Semey, Aktau, Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Kazakhstan wrapped up the tournament atop of the medal standings with a total of 20 gold, 11 silver and 18 bronze medals.
Coming in second is Armenia with nine gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals. Bulgaria is placed third with five gold, three silver and four bronze medals.
