Kazakhstan eyes 700bn tenge in preferential financing in agriculture in 2025
Kazakhstan provided 580 billion tenge in preferential funds for direct loans, reduced interest rates and forward procurements in agriculture, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said at the government session Wednesday, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

As Bektenov noted the volume of preferential funding is set to be increased to up to 700 billion tenge next year. 120 billion tenge was raised for preferential leasing of machinery, with the figure is expected to be increased to up to 200 billion tenge.
The farmers were also provided with seed material, preferential fuel and fertilizers.
This year, as was instructed by the Head of State, all the necessary conditions were created for timely and quality autumn field and harvesting works. Our key task is to preserve and market the harvested crop, stated Bektenov.
The Kazakh Premier instructed the Agriculture Ministry and the region’s administrations to ensure a timely removal of grain as well as the phytosanitary service employees to exercise tight control over the quality of grain.
It’s necessary to sow seeds for future harvest. The Transport Ministry jointly with Kazakh Temir Zholy are tasked to ensure uninterrupted transportation and to set the exact schedule of supply of rolling stock. The Trade Ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture should ensure the distribution of the products, increasing the export to traditional as well as new markets, stated the Kazakh Premier.
Bektenov also instructed to increase the volume of mineral fertilizers provided to up to 1.9 million tons by 2025. The Agriculture Ministry and Baiterek Holding were tasked to launch early financing of spring-field and harvesting works of 2025 starting December 1 this year.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan had seen growth in grain harvest.
