Kazakhstan expected to consume and produce electricity within range of 83-84 bln kWh in 2010

ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ It is expected that this year Kazakhstan will consume and produce electricity within the range of 83-84 bln kWh. Kazakh Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Duissenbai Turganov has said it at a briefing in Astana.
"According to current data, at present electricity consumption countrywide made up about 42 bln kWh. It is increased by about 9.7 percent against the similar period of the last year", D.Turganov said.
"According to our predictions, this year we expect that this year Kazakhstan will consume and produce electricity within the range of 83-84 bln kWh. It is a good growth. Since gaining independence we have not reached such indexes", he emphasized.
