Kazakhstan ? European Investment Bank financing agreement to be signed soon

ASTANA. June 17. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ - Director of the European Commission Unit for Relations with East Europe, Southern Caucasus and Central Asia Gunnar Wiegand told about the results of two-day working meetings with the Presidential Administration, Majilis and a number of ministries and state agencies at the briefing today in Astana.
«We have discussed the issue of signing the agreement between the European Investment Bank with regards to financing investment projects in Kazakhstan. Under this Agreement the investments will be injected into three fields ? environment, transport and energy. I was glad to know that this process has already be started and hopefully in the future this agreement will be signed»-Gunnar Wiegand said.
«The European Commission encourages the two parties to meet and come to an agreement. I believe it will take several weeks to make the decision», - he added.
