Kazakhstan, EU continue talks on visa regime facilitation for Kazakh nationals
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Alibek Batayev and Ambassador of the European Union to Kazakhstan Kestutis Jankauskas met in Astana to discuss cooperation in the consular sphere, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported on Jan 27, Kazinform News Agency learned.
In particular, the sides discussed holding the second round of consultations on facilitation of the visa application process for Kazakhstani nationals.
The facilitation of the visa regime aims at introduction of a unified list of documents for visa application, reduction of consular fees, reduction of visa application processing time, and increased visa validity period.
Following the talks, the sides agreed on further strengthening the Kazakhstan-EU friendly ties in the consular sphere.
