Kazakhstan-Estonia Business Forum kicks off in Astana
"Economies of the two states are complementary. With its plans to diversify economy Kazakhstan is interested in Estonia's experience in doing business, building economy and implementing new technologies", Premier Massimov said at the opening of the forum.
He also noted that Estonian companies could find broad opportunities for investing in the development of trade and economy of Kazakhstan. In this context A. Ansip said the Estonian side was ready to invest in Kazakhstan.
According to the data of the Kazakh Finance Ministry's Customs Committee, the volume of commodity circulation between Kazakhstan and Estonia in 2008 amounted to USD 75.5 million including USD 20.9 million of export and 54.6 million of import. Over five months of 2009 the trade turnover has made up to USD 23.8 million.
Kazakhstan exports products of ferrous industry, chemical industry, inorganic chemistry, radioactive materials and grain, and imports livestock products, food products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, vinegar, tobacco, electric machines, equipment and etc.
