Kazakhstan ensures implementation of int'l standards in tolerance and non-discrimination sphere - L.Prokopenko
Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan Leonid Prokopenko has said it within annual OSCE Review Conference in Warsaw.
The representative of Kazakhstan's official delegation cited President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who noted that "the principle of tolerance for Kazakhstan is not only a norm of the political life, but one of the key principles of the state, which we support and strengthen."
L.Prokopenko informed the international community that the Constitution of Kazakhstan states equality of all citizens before the law and court regardless of language, ethnicity and confession.
"In practice, the attitude of tolerance and non-discrimination achieved within the Kazakh model of interethnic concord, which is based on the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan -a constitutional body which represents interests of all ethos living in our multinational country," he said.
