ASTANA. December 20. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ Kazakhstan has started the OSCE chairmanship at one level, done a great job during this time and now ends the year at another, qualitatively new level. Deputy of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament, President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Aigul Solovyeva made it public at a session of the debating club on the results of the OSCE Summit in Astana.
As she said, the East and the West have always been opposite of each other. "At this Summit Central Asian NGOs got an opportunity to discuss all problems at home, while European and American NGOs could see that Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions should be without borders, have single rules, standards", A.Solovyeva said.
"Besides, our summit helped others see the inside of Central Asia. Those countries that have observed from the side lines came here and got acquainted with views of many NGO representatives who expressed opposite opinions. This was an indicator of democratic development of Kazakhstan", the Deputy said.
