Kazakhstan Embassy in Cairo held reception within work of Asian Ambassadors' Group
The meeting was opened by Chairman of the Group of Asian Ambassadors, Ambassador of Nepal to Egypt T. Rambhakta, the press service of the Kazakh MFA informs.
Delivering a speech Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Bakhtiyar Tassymov briefed about the achievements of our country in socio-political and socio-economic spheres over the years of independence and the activity of the republic in Asian direction. In this view the Ambassador touched upon Kazakhstan's foreign initiatives in particular the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, the Congress of the World and Traditional Religions' Leaders and the oncoming chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE in 2010 and in the OIC in 2011.
Assistant Foreign Minister for international political ties of Egypt Ashraf Al-Moafi noted that Egypt made a point of development of the relations with Kazakhstan which had become an acknowledged leader in the Central Asian region. According to him "our countries have confirmed several times their political will and interest in development of friendly ties with different countries and submitted initiatives on holding forums and summits for ensuring peace and security on the Asian continent"
