Kazakhstan elected for the first time to European Steering Committee for Youth Bureau
Representative of the Ulan-gaiyr Dala Yeli Youth NGO (Great Steppe) Valikhan Bakhretdinov was for the first time elected to the Bureaux of the European Steering Committee for Youth (CDEJ), Kazinform News Agency reports.

The European Steering Committee for Youth (CDEJ) brings together representatives of ministries or departments responsible for youth matters from 50 state parties to the European Cultural Convention.
In Strasbourg, Valikhan Bakhretdinov met with members of the Bureau of the European Steering Committee for Youth and Youth Department of the Council of Europe.
CDEJ Bureau Chair Jorge Orlando Queiros said Kazakhstani youth becomes closer to Europe highlighting the first visit of the Great Steppe public association representatives to Strasbourg for 30 years of cooperation.
In his turn Valikhan Bakhretdinov briefed on the country’s reforms in the sphere of youth policy in the context of the adopted Law on youth policy and social development. He also presented a special report focusing on the 2023-2029 state youth policy concept. He said one of the key directions of the concept is a professional development of rural youth, in particular, development of their potential through entrepreneurship and skills.
