Kazakhstan elected as deputy chairman country of OIC Standing Committee on trade and economic cooperation
It was unanimously decided at the Ministerial Meeting of COMCEC on October 12 in Istanbul. Islamic countries highly appraised achievements of Kazakhstan in social and economic development, the press release of the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the Organization of the Islamic Conference informs.
The COMCEC is a main body of the Organization responsible for the promotion of the economic cooperation between member states of the Organization. One of the important decisions made at the meeting in Istanbul was official start of the work on establishment of special program of the Organization on Central Asia. This project provides for support and interaction of the Organization for promoting trade operations, investments, etc. that are of mutual interest for Central Asia and countries of Muslim community. Members of the Organization are also planning to consider all possible opportunities in the sphere of tourism, training of personnel and using the potential of the agricultural sphere of the states of our region.
