Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Kapparov made it public on Monday at a weekly briefing of the Central Communications Service (CCS).

"The registration dossier is like a constitution of the EXPO event. Everything written in that document is binding and should be approved by the Bureau of International Exhibitions in Paris and by all countries that are to participate in the EXPO-2017 event in Astana to make sure their interests are also taken into account. This will be our working plan for the next four years. This huge 200-page dossier is full of nuances," the Minister said.

According to Minister Kapparov, "Astana EXPO-2017" National Company" has drawn up the pilot version of the document. It has already been submitted for BIE's consideration.

"Hopefully, the dossier will be approved by early 2014. Afterwards, we will receive the flag and the logo of the bureau, tentatively in summer 2014. That will mean that Kazakhstan has official become the host country of the EXPO-event," he added.
