Kazakhstan demonstrated wisdom and responsibility in regulation of Kyrgyz conflict - Lithuanian FM

ALMATY OBLAST. July 17. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ During the crisis in Kyrgyzstan Kazakhstan on behalf of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev could quickly mobilize other players like the European Union and the UN. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Audronius Ažubalis said it at the OSCE Foreign Ministers informal meeting today.
Thus, Kazakhstan has succeeded in prevention of spread of riots and elimination of the threat of civil war in Kyrgyzstan. "This is a great achievement. Kazakhstan treated the problem with wisdom and responsibility", he noted.
"Along with this the situation showed that the OSCE needs a mechanism on prevention of crises. The issues formulated by Kazakhstan are a very good beginning in this view", said the Head of the Lithuanian MFA.
