Kazakhstan decreases gold production by 3.7%, silver production by 10.6% in Q1 2014 – statistics

BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has produced 13,566 tons of gold in January-April 2014, which is 3.7% less than in the same period in 2013, the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
According to the Agency, the refined gold production made up 7,971 tons, which is 4.8 % more than in January- April 2013, Kazinform refers to AKI Press.
In addition, the production of silver during the reporting period equaled 290.9 tons (down 10.6%), including the production of refined silver - 288.8 tons (down 10.8%).
