ASTANA. April 18. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ We have created a perfect model of friendship and must protect it from external threats, says Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"For 20 years we have made efforts to ensure that the Kazakhstanis of various confessions could peacefully pursue their spiritual traditions. A number of religious communities in Kazakhstan increased from 700 to 4,500," the Head of State noted speaking at the session of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan on Monday.
The President also stressed that members of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions consider Kazakhstan as the only place in the world where the Muslims, Orthodox Christians, Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Jews are living in harmony, the only place where they can gather together and talk about all their problems.
