Kazakhstan considers Slovakia as important perspective partner in EU - N.Nazarbayev

"We coincide in opinion on potentioal of our cooperation, and Kazakhstan considers Slovakia as an important partner in the EU", N.Nazarbayev said.

The Head of the State noted that agreements reached within his official visit to Bratislava in 2007 created favorable conditions for strengthening relationships between the two countries' economies and policy.

According to the Kazakh President, the visit to Slovakia in 2007 gave dynamics to the bilateral relations growth.

The Kazakh President noted that 17 joint companies are functioning in Kazakhstan nowadays, and despite the world financial crisis, the volume of the trade turnover between our countries increased by 10 percent and made up USD 1.2 bln.

The Head of the State emphasized that the volume of mutual trade increased tenfold in the period of 2003-2009.

"The visit of Ivan Gašparovič to our country will give another positive impulse so we could use all potential in the trade turnover which the countries have", N.Nazarbayev said.
