Kazakhstan coauthored Resolution on strengthening international cooperation within UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs

VIENNA. March 15. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ Within the frame of the 53rd annual session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs held on March 8-12 in Vienna Kazakhstan coauthored the Resolution on strengthening regional cooperation in fight with illegal drug-traffic from Afghanistan.
Adoption of the Resolution, undoubtedly, demonstrates success of a Kazakhstani delegation and it will promote further enhancement of our role in international anti-drug campaign. The document gives a high appreciation of the decisions of the VIII session of foreign ministers of the member countries - the Memorandum of mutual understanding in struggle against drug traffic. The session took place December 9, 2009 in Almaty. The Resolution also points out important role of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Center located in our country in countering drug-traffic from Afghanistan.
