Kazakhstan, China to launch 3 new joint transport terminals in 2025
A meeting took place between Kazakh Railways Chief Nurlan Sauranbayev and Communist Party Secretary of Xi'an Fang Hongwei on Friday, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The meeting highlighted that up to 5,000 trains en route China-Europe were sent from Xi’an dry port in 2024, marking a historic of 25% of all shipments.
The Kazakh-Chinese joint cargo terminal in Xi’an contributed to 33fold growth in the flow of traffic via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, as a number of international logistics projects worth over 200 million US dollars are under realization in collaboration with Xi’an dry port.
The sides passed the plans for the current year, including launch of a logistics complex in Almaty, a new logistics center CRK Terminal at Selyatino stations in Moscow oblast and a terminal at Alat port in Azerbaijan. Logistics centers and terminals at Svisloch (Belarus) station and Budapest (Hungary) are slated for launch next year.
As earlier reported, Kazakhstan eyes a 3-fold increase in transit through an expansion of its terminal network.
