Kazakhstan, China sign over 40 business agreements

Over 40 agreements worth 3.7 billion US dollars were signed by companies on the sidelines of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council held in Astana, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Samruk Kazyna National Company.

The seventh meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council brought together over 500 representatives of business, including up to 50 major Chinese companies. Kazakhstan’s national company Samruk Kazyna signed 16 agreements of the total 40. Those include:

  • Agreement between Samruk Kazyna and Sany Renewables Energy on production of wind turbine components;
  • Agreement of cooperation between Samruk Kazyna and SANY Group;
  • Memorandum of mutual understanding between Samruk Kazyna and China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd.;
  • Framework agreement between Samruk Kazyna and CNPC;
  • Framework agreement between the Kazakh Energy Ministry and CNPC;
  • Framework agreement between KazMunayGas and CNPC;
  • Trilateral Protocol between Silleno project participants – KazMunayGas, Sinopec and SIBUR;
  • Agreement on delivery of 200 locomotives between Kazakhstan Railways and CRRC;
  • Agreement on investment of construction of a container hub at the Aktau port between Kazakhstan Railways and Lianyungang Port;
  • Cooperation agreement between Samruk Energo and China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE);
  • Memorandum of cooperation between KEGOC and China Energy International Group;
  • Agreement on establishment of a joint venture between Kazpost and YTO Express;
  • Agreement on establishment of joint venture between Kazpost and YM Trans (Guangzhou) International Forwarding;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between Kazpost and China Communications Construction Co. Ltd. to promote e-commerce;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between the Scientific and Technological Initiatives Center Samgau and China Venture Capital Asset Management Company Limited;
  • Trilateral agreement on establishment of a unified digital corridor along the route China-Kazakhstan-Russia between KTZ Express, Xi’an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co., Ltd. and Slavtrans Service.
