Kazakhstan, China agree to double commodity turnover
At a press conference held after the talks with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Chinese President Xi Jinping commented on One Belt, One Road initiative. He said Kazakhstan and China were ready to ensure high-quality cooperation as part of this initiative, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“A new task was set – to double commodity turnover in the nearest time. We have agreed to constantly deepen cooperation in traditional sectors, such as trade and economy, investments, industrialization, transport interconnectivity and energy,” said Xi Jinping.
The Chinese President added that both countries will thoroughly implement the trade-economic cooperation road map, boost fruitful promotion of the cooperation projects in industrialization, facilitate construction of the Trans-Caspian Transport Route and third transborder railroad.
Kazakhstan and China intend to jointly search for new growth points in the field of critical minerals, alternative energy sources, research and technical innovations, aviation and space, as well as digital economy.
