Kazakhstan channeled record high KZT 52 bln to buy fire-fighting equipment
This year Kazakhstan allocated a record high 52 billion tenge to purchase fire-fighting equipment which became a historic event for the country’s forestry, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar said, Kazinform News Agency reports.

He said 16 billion tenge was allotted last year. In 2024 funding grew threefold in an unprecedented way to reach 52 billion tenge to help equip forestry organizations in the regions susceptible to fire outbreaks with firefighting technologies.
Recall that Kazakhstan and South Korea were set to deepen cooperation in forestry.
Besides, the Government of Kazakhstan allocated 576 million tenge to conduct bathymetric surveys to prepare for flood season in line with the Kazakh President’s tasks. Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed the corresponding decree.
