Kazakhstan celebrates Day of National Currency

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decree "On introduction of the national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan" on November 2, 1993. But tenge was not introduced until November 15, 1993, when it replaced the banknotes and coins of previous currency. The 15th of November is also marked as the professional holiday of workers of the national financial system.
