Kazakhstan captures judo bronze at Paris Grand Slam 2024

Kazakhstani judoka Nurlykhan Sharkhan claimed bronze in one of the heaviest weight categories at the Paris Grand Slam 2024 in France, Kazinform has learnt from the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Sharkhan edged out Daniel Eich of Switzerland in the -100kg bronze final, taking home the coveted medal. Serbian Aleksandar Kukolj also hauled bronze in the same category.
Japanese Aaron Wolf grabbed gold, while Nikoloz Sherazadishvili representing Spain settled for silver.
Bekzat Shagatayev who also represented Kazakhstan in the same weight class sadly lost to Brazilian Rafael Buzacarini at the start of the tournament.
