Such appeal was voiced out February 17 in Warsaw at a coordination meeting of three personal envoys of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office with the leaders and experts of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

As the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Warsaw informs, the meeting participants focused on conceptual, practical and organizational issues of the future work of Personal Envoy for Combating Intolerance and Discrimination against Muslims - Kazakh Senator Adil Akhmetov, Personal Envoy for Combating Anti-Semitism - Rabbi Andrew Baker (U.S.A.) and Personal Envoy for Combating Racism, Xenophobia, Discrimination against Christians and representatives of other religions Mario Mauro (Italy).

The experts of the ODIHR/OSCE presented detailed information on current activity and the projects connected with prevention of proliferation of intolerance and non-discrimination in the OSCE region as well as shared their views regarding separate and joint visits to other countries .

Particular attention was given to the top-level OSCE tolerance and non-discrimination conference scheduled for June 29-30 in Astana. In this context, A. Akhmetov pointed out importance of holding the OSCE summit for discussing various aspects of security including ensuring tolerance and non-discrimination.

Besides A. Akhmetov called on the OSCE experts and his colleagues to use this unique opportunity of Kazakhstan's chairmanship for establishment of partnership relations with other international organizations like the CICA, the SCO and the OIC in which Astana plays a significant role.

Following the consultations the parties agreed on the forthcoming joint activity, the dates and major provisions of the 2010 working calendar.
