Kazakhstan boasts 52 state and 43 regional theaters

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan reports the highest rates of opening theaters among the CIS member states," Culture and Sport Minister of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly told the Government Hour held at the Majilis in Astana.
"We opened 18 new theatres over the years of independence. It is the highest rate observed amongst the CIS countries. We built new theatre buildings in Uralsk, Karaganda and Kostanay. We have achieved this positive dynamics thanks to the state support," the minister added. There are 52 state and 43 regional theaters in Kazakhstan so far. Another 10 theaters work in various directions.
