Kazakhstan blocks nearly 600 websites that call for extremism

ASTANA. January 18. KAZINFORM 596 websites promoting extremism and terrorism were shut down in Kazakhstan in 2013, Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev said.
"After the content of these websites was deemed as calling for extremism and terrorism by local courts, the internet resources were blocked," Mr. Daulbayev noted at the session of the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office in Astana.
