Kazakhstan biggest trade partner of the Sverdlovsk Region (Russia)
As a part of his visit, he had meetings with governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeniy Kuivashev, vice governor - head of the governor's administration Yakov Silin, minister of international and foreign economic ties of the region Alexander Kharlov, reps of business and scientific circles, Kazakh diaspora and students studying in Yekaterinburg.
According to the press service of the Kazakh Embassy, the governor of the Sverdlovsk Region and Kazakh envoy G. Orazbakov touched upon a wide number of issues as regards cooperation between the Kazakhstani regions with the Sverdlovsk Region. Mr. Kuivashev briefed on the preparations for the X jubilee forum of inter-regional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia.
Being the largest industrial area of Ural, the Sverdlovsk Region is where the international innovative and investment forums and exhibitions take place. One of such exhibitions - Innoprom - is about to be held in July and governor Kuivashev invited Kazakhstani companies and development institutes to attend.
Kazakhstan is the biggest trade partner of the Sverdlovsk Region among CIS member states. Kazakhstan's share in accumulated trade turnover of the Sverdlovsk Region with the CIS member countries amounts to 50%.
